Hi, my name is Randy.

I started playing piano when I was 8, and it has stuck with me ever since. I love the music, the theory, and the complexity of the instrument itself.

I took a brief, 35-year long side-quest at a local software firm. But now I’m back on the main quest— all things pianos. With the math involved in tuning and the complexity of a piano’s action, it’s really not that much of a leap. I love intricate problems, so my nerdy engineer brain is right at home working on a piano.

My other post-retirement shenanigans include feeding my dogs, working with my hands (making lots of sawdust and melting metal together), and watching all the memes my daughters send me.
